Abstract: The purpose of Vietnamese education has been articulated differently throughout various historical periods. However, it is still primarily linked to economic development and social stability. This approach frames individuals within specific "standards," conflicting with the goal of holistic human development. This development has been seen as a journey of self-discovery along the way, creating positive impacts that do not contradict the goal of social harmony. Therefore, our study aims to clarify the connection between “self-discovery” and “social impact” to show that these two factors must appear simultaneously in education to help a person achieve holistic transformation… (See more below)

Abstract: Since 1945, Vietnam's education has undergone four significant evolutions, the most recent being the New General Educational Curriculum 2018. Even though the reforms have had a certain success as well as shown by the government's effort to make positive changes in education, many remaining problems show that these changes are still only a formality. Abstract: Expression is not only associated with human needs, but is also an important factor for personal development and social justice. Depending on the cultural context and personal perspectives related to their roles, each person chooses to express themselves divergently. In Vietnam, there is barely any research focusing on the cultural aspects of expression. Therefore, our study examines some specific elements of Vietnamese culture, as well as the influence of these factors on the performance of expression. We conducted in-depth interviews with 30 people aged 18-30, who had completed their general education and are currently living in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City. The recorded information is encoded, analyzed, and organized by topics. Based on Nguyen Phuong Mai's metaphor of the "culture tree", we connect themes and detect values in the public general education environment… (See more below)

This topic was first explored on a group of public non-business unit employees in Hanoi, who work in the education sector under the direct management of the state system. We used quantitative research methods (a survey of 93 people) and qualitative methods (in-depth interviews with 25 people), then applied international theories on human rights, Gerry Mackie's theory of social norms, and some other theories to find out the conventions that affect the way of opinion sharing on social networks of these employees… (See more below)
